Your journey begins from Athinios Port, Santorini’s dramatic harbor nestled beneath towering volcanic cliffs — the gateway to the island’s breathtaking caldera. As ADONIS gently sails into Santorini’s volcanic basin, guests are immediately surrounded by dramatic cliffsides, whitewashed villages, and awe-inspiring scenery that make Santorini one of the world’s most extraordinary destinations.
Our first destination takes us into the heart of Santorini’s volcanic story — toward the island’s legendary Volcano & Volcanic Hot Springs, where guests will enjoy the cruise’s first swimming stop. Here, you may immerse yourself in warm, mineral-rich sulphurous waters naturally heated by Santorini’s living volcanic core — a truly unique swimming experience unlike any other.
Please note: swimming in the Hot Springs is not recommended for guests with heart conditions due to the warm sulphurous waters and mineral concentration.
Leaving the volcanic waters behind, ADONIS continues north through the caldera, sailing past the charming Old Port of Fira, once Santorini’s principal harbor and lifeline to the outside world, resting dramatically beneath the cliffs of the island’s capital.
Continuing onward, we glide beneath the majestic Skaros Rock, the imposing volcanic outcrop of Imerovigli that once served as Santorini’s medieval fortress capital and remains one of the island’s most breathtaking landmarks.
Our voyage then carries us past the picturesque Eftapaides Chapel and the striking Saint Nikolaos Chapel Rock, two iconic caldera landmarks that beautifully reflect Santorini’s Cycladic spirituality and dramatic volcanic landscape.
Sailing further north, we approach the enchanting waters of Ammoudi Bay in Oia, one of Santorini’s most postcard-perfect harbors, framed by deep sapphire waters, red volcanic cliffs, and Oia’s world-famous whitewashed village perched high above. This area offers some of the cruise’s most spectacular photo opportunities.
Across the caldera lies Thirasia Island, Santorini’s peaceful sister island — untouched, authentic, and rich in traditional Cycladic character. Here, guests will enjoy the cruise’s second swimming stop in crystal-clear Aegean waters surrounded by the island’s serene natural beauty.
From there, ADONIS sails toward the opposite side of Santorini, revealing the island’s spectacular volcanic coastline and world-famous beaches.
We cruise past the iconic Red Beach, celebrated for its dramatic crimson volcanic cliffs and rust-colored sands, before continuing toward the peaceful volcanic cove of Mesa Pigadia Beach, where guests may enjoy another refreshing swimming stop beneath Santorini’s rugged southern cliffs.
Continuing along the coastline, we sail past the dazzling White Beach, accessible only by sea and framed by towering pale volcanic cliffs sculpted over centuries by volcanic activity and sea erosion.
Our voyage then carries us beneath the dramatic Black Cliffs, past the legendary Indian Rock formation, and onward to the historic Akrotiri Lighthouse, standing proudly at Santorini’s southwestern edge where endless panoramic sea views stretch across the Aegean.
As the afternoon slowly melts into evening, guests may relax onboard and enjoy a freshly prepared Mediterranean meal, thoughtfully crafted with authentic Greek flavors and local ingredients, accompanied by local wine, refreshing beverages, and the gentle rhythm of the sea.
