A breathtaking journey through Santorini’s legendary caldera, iconic landmarks & volcanic heart
Step aboard Water Blue Yachting’s elegant ADONIS luxury motor sailor and experience Santorini from its most captivating perspective — the sea. This carefully curated 3-hour morning cruise offers a spectacular panoramic journey through the island’s world-famous caldera, blending volcanic beauty, historic landmarks, crystal-clear waters, and authentic Greek hospitality into one unforgettable experience.
Your journey begins from Athinios Port, Santorini’s dramatic harbor nestled beneath towering volcanic cliffs — the gateway to the island’s breathtaking caldera. As ADONIS gently sails into Santorini’s volcanic basin, guests are immediately surrounded by dramatic cliffsides, whitewashed villages, and awe-inspiring scenery that make Santorini one of the world’s most extraordinary destinations.
Cruising north through the caldera, we sail past the charming Old Port of Fira, once Santorini’s main harbor and today one of the island’s most iconic coastal landmarks, resting beneath the dramatic cliffs of the capital.
Continuing onward, we glide beneath the majestic Skaros Rock, the imposing volcanic outcrop of Imerovigli that once served as Santorini’s medieval fortress capital. Rising dramatically from the sea, Skaros remains one of Santorini’s most breathtaking natural and historical landmarks.
Our voyage then carries us past the picturesque Eftapaides Chapel, perched gracefully on Santorini’s cliffside — a beautiful Cycladic landmark framed by the endless blue of the Aegean.
Sailing further north, we approach the enchanting waters of Ammoudi Bay in Oia, one of Santorini’s most postcard-perfect harbors, known for its deep sapphire waters, striking volcanic cliffs, and the famous whitewashed village perched high above.
Across the caldera lies Thirasia Island, Santorini’s peaceful sister island — untouched, authentic, and rich in traditional Cycladic character, offering a rare glimpse of island life as it once was.
From there, we sail into the heart of Santorini’s volcanic story — toward the island’s legendary Volcano & Volcanic Hot Springs, where guests will enjoy the cruise’s dedicated swimming stop. Here, you may immerse yourself in warm, mineral-rich sulphurous waters, naturally heated by Santorini’s living volcanic core — a unique swimming experience unlike any other.
Please note: swimming in the Hot Springs is not recommended for guests with heart conditions due to the warm sulphurous waters and mineral concentration.
Following your swim, relax onboard and enjoy beautifully prepared individual finger-food platters, thoughtfully served alongside local wine, refreshing beverages, and the gentle rhythm of the Aegean — a light yet indulgent dining experience designed to perfectly complement your time at sea.
As we make our leisurely return toward Athinios Port, you’ll leave with unforgettable memories, spectacular photographs, and the rare privilege of having experienced Santorini’s legendary caldera from one of the island’s most elegant sailing vessels.
Please note: This cruise is designed as a panoramic sightseeing and swimming experience. Swimming is available only at the Volcanic Hot Springs. All other locations are enjoyed by sailing past them, offering extraordinary views and exceptional photo opportunities.
